Lo stilista tedesco Jil Sander ha fondato il suo marchio omonimo nel 1968. Oltre che per la sua influenza sul movimento minimalista della moda, \u00e8 noto per i suoi modelli raffinati e semplici. Nato come redattore di riviste di moda, ha affinato le sue capacit\u00e0 di modificatore grazie al suo lavoro, e in seguito ha creato il suo marchio di abbigliamento nel 1968 e ha pubblicato la sua prima collezione nel 1973, ispirata alla semplicit\u00e0 del Bauhaus, alle linee essenziali e alle silhouette chiare, soprattutto negli anni '80, quando \u00e8 diventato una boccata d'aria fresca nella tendenza glamour, e negli anni '90, quando \u00e8 stato classificato tra i marchi di moda minimalisti con Helmut Lang e Calvin Klein.
