Mihara Yasuhiro, designer proveniente da una famiglia di artisti che ha studiato pittura in giovane et\u00e0 e ha scelto di specializzarsi in tessuti presso il rinomato Tama Art Institute del Giappone, ritiene che la vera arte non debba essere esposta nei musei d'arte, che sono molto lontani dalle persone. Nel 1995, prima di laurearsi, ha iniziato a utilizzare le calzature come soggetto delle sue creazioni, in modo che i suoi disegni potessero fondersi naturalmente con la vita e avvicinarsi alle persone. Voleva avvicinare i suoi modelli alle persone, integrandoli naturalmente nella loro vita.
