CARRIÈRE FRÈRES
Founded in 1884 by the Frères brothers, Carrière Frères is a candle brand that embodies a century-old tradition of craftsmanship. It has gradually become known as a "master candle maker" in the eyes of fragrance enthusiasts. The founders were passionate about botany and dedicated to creating formulas that produce candles without smoke or unpleasant odors. In the 19th century, they were able to easily extract fragrances from distant sources, such as coastal vanilla and Damascus roses, right in Paris. Through relentless experimentation, they developed a formula for candles that burn steadily and cleanly, free from white smoke, becoming the official candle supplier for Sacré-Cœur Basilica in 1889. Today, Carrière Frères candles continue to be handcrafted in France, featuring enchanting scents ranging from dreamy Tahitian gardenia and soothing agarwood to the classic fragrance of French lavender and the iconic Damascus rose. Each scent has become a unique language of fragrance for the brand. The signature white containers are adorned with hand-drawn illustrations of the main ingredients, creating a fresh and elegant aesthetic both inside and out.
