TRUDON

Founded in 1643, TRUDON is a historic French royal fragrance brand with a rich legacy spanning over 400 years. It has crafted ceremonial candles for many important churches and has been the official candle maker for French royalty, including Louis XIV, Queen Marie Antoinette, and Napoleon. Known for its dedication to traditional French craftsmanship and profound formulations, Mr. TRUDON was revered by contemporaries as a "sacred artisan working for deities and royalty."

Stepping back to 17th century France, the enterprising merchant Claude Trudon established the TRUDON candle brand at a time when candles were not yet widespread. He gradually built the Maison Trudon candle kingdom within the upper echelons of society. Starting in 1719, TRUDON officially entered the magnificent Palace of Versailles, becoming a favorite among royals from Louis XIV to Louis XVI. Notably, the last queen, Marie Antoinette, hosted numerous lavish court parties illuminated by TRUDON candles, which continued to be featured in important celebratory ceremonies even during the era of Napoleon.

The packaging of TRUDON features significant medals, including the emblems of Louis XIV and Napoleon, as well as a gold medal from the 1889 Exposition Universelle, attesting to TRUDON's long history and unwavering prestigious status. In modern times, TRUDON remains a favored scent among contemporary European nobility, elite individuals, and celebrities, and it is also a fragrance brand that collaborates with renowned luxury houses such as Hermes, Cartier, and Dior.

As a brand that witnesses royal life and French history, TRUDON continues to uphold the use of purely natural ingredients, refusing to substitute artificial paraffin for plant-based materials like coconut, soy, and palm oils. The cotton wicks are emphasized to be 100% pure cotton. Additionally, the glass vessels are crafted by Italian artisans from Vinci and adorned with golden embossed seals from an ancient French champagne house, preserving the luxurious aura of a century-old craftsmanship to this day.

Lighting a TRUDON candle transports us through layers of fragrance, guiding us back to moments of splendid history. From the first flicker to the final extinguishing, the candlelight evokes deep emotions, allowing sensations to journey from our sense of smell to the heart.
