AMI, which means "friend" in French, is also an acronym for the initials of its founder, designer Alexandre Mattiussi. Alexandre studied at the Duperré School of Fashion Design in Paris and has an impressive resume, having interned at Dior Homme and later served as the chief assistant designer for menswear at Givenchy, as well as working as a menswear designer for Marc Jacobs. He launched his eponymous brand in 2011 at the age of 30. AMI embodies a relaxed, authentic, and friendly approach to fashion, conveying a youthful and effortless Parisian style through its refined silhouettes.
