Lang was known for integrating innovative materials into his creations. However, he left the brand in 2005. This year, Vietnamese-American designer Peter Do was announced as the new creative director of Helmut Lang. With a mission to "encourage individuals to express their personality," Do aims to carry on Helmut Lang's bold and radical design ethos. Models traversed the runway in tailored suits, shirts, dresses, and leather and denim ensembles, showcasing Peter Do's refined and avant-garde approach, focusing on deconstructive creativity through minimalism.
