NEIL BARRETT

Neil Barrett, a British fashion designer born in a family of tailors, graduated from Central St. Martin's College in London in 1990, and his graduation work caught the attention of Tom Ford, who was then hired as a menswear designer for GUCCI for five years, and then became the director of men's design at PRADA in 1995, where he started a wave of high fashion menswear with his minimalist design style.

Neil Barrett started his eponymous label with a menswear collection in 1999 and debuted his womenswear collection at Milan Fashion Week in 2006. Neil Barrett is good at extending men's design inspiration to women's wear, because of the spirit of traditional British tailoring in his blood, so that the work, whether in the structure, lines or coloring are to maintain the usual simple and clean, but the design does not lose the unique experimental spirit of St. Martin's College, interpreting the deconstructed aesthetics between the quietness and introspection, a little colorful, but not excessive, a little bit of design, but not over the top. Harmonious atmosphere is always advocated “balanced fashion”, Neil Barrett can be said to be a classic practical and avant-garde concept of contemporary clothing designer.
