Fashion and art embrace once more within the old mansion
In November 2016, onefifteen expanded the creative concept of its Daan store by reconfiguring the old building, which had been divided in the past, integrating classic craftsmanship with natural flora within the old mansion.
Over the past year, we have upheld our consistent spirit by engaging in cross-disciplinary collaborations with various fields. Whether it’s emerging fashion designers from Asia, local photographers, or historic French luxury brands, onefifteen has continued to maintain an open perspective and an inclusive attitude, exploring the many possibilities of this space.
After a year, the little moments in life have been revived through onefifteen’s interpretation, accumulating into beautiful and moving memories. On this one-year anniversary of the renovation of our Daan store, onefifteen is pleased to invite artist Chuang Chih-Wei for a collaborative installation. Fresh from his exhibition “Rainbow in the Dark” at the Taipei Contemporary Art Museum, Chuang continues his thematic interpretation by integrating his personal life experiences with the characteristics of the exhibition space.
For this occasion, Chuang has tailored a new pattern and color scheme for the Daan store, inspired by onefifteen’s autumn/winter fashion space theme. His interactive installation aims to interpret the starry sky, starting with a radiant light breaking through the darkness. Visually, he employs a gradient color technique, extending from misty silver to a vast gray-blue, attempting to depict the stardust particles above the atmosphere.
