Unveiling the Fall/Winter New Collection from Japanese Trendsetting Designers with onefifteen
As "streetwear" has become the #OOTD for the IT BOY, street art, once a symbol of rebellion and subculture, has become a key to mainstream fashion. Many high-end fashion brands are now collaborating with streetwear brands, blurring the lines between luxury and street style, and creating a new design aesthetic that highlights cultural fusion. Streetwear brands have broken through traditional fashion boundaries, leading the new generation of style.Since its establishment, onefifteen has curated a selection of promising emerging streetwear brands from both domestic and international markets. By staying attuned to the latest global fashion trends, onefifteen interweaves diverse aesthetic perspectives and design philosophies, offering a rich and intriguing fashion landscape.
onefifteen, known for its keen sensitivity to fashion trends, has brought together four highly discussed Japanese streetwear brands for a special showcase: Doublet, UNDERCOVER, Maison Mihara, and Fumito Ganryu. This curated presentation is set to take place at the onefifteen Da’an flagship store. These four Japanese brands share avant-garde design philosophies and meticulous craftsmanship, making them highly coveted by fashion icons and influencers worldwide. For instance, Doublet has been worn by notable figures such as South Korean fashion icon G-Dragon, American rapper Travis Scott, Victoria’s Secret model Kendall Jenner, and former British boy band member Liam Payne. UNDERCOVER is favored by Asian trendsetters like Edison Chen, Takuya Kimura, and Sadie Sink from "Stranger Things." In addition, Maison Mihara has attracted the attention of fashion star "Juno" Yu Wen-Lok, while Fumito Ganryu appeals to those who appreciate minimalist and refined aesthetics, distinguishing itself from the more intense styles of the other brands.
Among the four streetwear brands, Doublet stands out for its dramatic flair! This season, Doublet's autumn collection creates an atmosphere of whimsical colors and striking designs, with their "Headless Man" oversized shoulder-padded coat causing a buzz upon release. The "Headless Man" is a meticulously crafted vintage British wool coat, but during the photoshoot, it was styled with two incredibly high shoulder pads, concealing the wearer’s head inside the coat! Another intriguing piece is the Coach Jacket adorned with Polaroid photos on its back. When you take a flash photograph of these Polaroids, eerie images emerge. Doublet’s designer, Masayuki Ino, embraces a playful spirit, infusing garments with a sense of whimsy while focusing on the craftsmanship rather than traditional design seriousness. To experience these fascinating new pieces firsthand, visit the onefifteen Da’an flagship store!
Additionally, onefifteen has also specially invited Doublet's designer and founder, Masayuki Ino, to visit Taiwan once again. This marks Ino's first visit to Taiwan since winning the prestigious LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers. This time, he is bringing his 2019 autumn/winter collection, ready to team up with onefifteen to create endless "SURPRISES!"
In addition to the fun and exciting new arrivals, onefifteen has also thoughtfully embraced Doublet's autumn/winter design concept by transforming the Daan flagship store into a fashion atmosphere that feels both ethereal and eerie, yet not frightening. The store features a surprise capsule vending machine, where onefifteen has placed a unique small surprise: a limited-edition T-shirt created in collaboration with four emerging brands, reflecting this season's theme of "SURPRISE!" This autumn/winter, onefifteen brings together four must-watch Japanese fashion designers, unveiling their new seasonal collections. This initiative allows Taiwan's media and consumers to experience the latest global fashion trends and explore endless possibilities for surprises.
