Originally from Korea, designer KimHĒKIM's passion for fashion stems from sewing clothes for dolls when she was a child, working as a freelancer for different brands and working under the Parisian high-fashion brand BALENCIAGA, which led to the establishment of her own eponymous label in 2014. Immediately taking to the catwalks of Paris Fashion Week with its outstanding craftsmanship and romantic style, Kimhekim's design style is known for its unique cuts and delicate details. The brand's signature design elements include loose dresses, pleats, asymmetrical cuts and rich prints, which construct a poetic space between the traditional and the modern through delicate details and subtle emotions.
