PIFERI is a British brand founded in 2020 by former Jimmy Choo chief designer Alfredo Pīferi. With growing concerns for the environment and ethics, Pīferi became a vegetarian a decade ago and began exploring the possibility of creating impeccable shoes without using leather. Unlike most vegan leathers on the market, which are often made from environmentally harmful virgin PVC, PIFERI shoes are crafted from corn-derived bio-based plastics and recycled PET, all handmade in Italy. His creations are inspired by surrealism, architecture, and real-life characters, ranging from chunky metallic platform shoes to flat ballet pumps, breaking the minimalist design stereotype often associated with vegan brands and embracing diversity.
