GMBH
Serhat Ik and Benjamin A. Huseby co-founded the new fashion label GmbH in 2016. Inspired by Berlin's electronic music and diverse urban culture, the brand embraces the values of sustainability and quality, and started out with rebellious fashion pieces made from unsold fabrics from fabric mills. In just a few years, the name GmbH has come to represent a culture and a specific group of people. The GmbH is actually more like an ecosystem, with fashion as the connecting medium, covering a large number of art and culture personalities and pioneering fashion lovers from all walks of life, and the extreme aesthetics of the label has enlisted a group of the coolest European and American youths.
The spring/summer collection named Ghazal is named after the ancient form of Arabic poetry, which provides ample material for exploring the tensions between religion, morality, freedom and sexuality. The show was full of cross-continental and gender-fluid tailoring concepts, with white suits combined with vintage prints, blue plaids, and denim for a simple and refreshing look, while glossy silk combined with heavy leather and gorgeous furs to interpret a modern and sexy style. The whole collection has a variety of styles, elegant and gorgeous without losing the lightness and texture.
